The actual team launch was in 2001, in the Star Mazda Series with a two-car effort that culminated with an entry in the season's final race at Laguna Seca. From there we found ourselves salivating over a new found race car type and championship called the Toyota Atlantic Series – a developmental series that was a part of the Champ Car ladder system. After participating from 2002–2004 and then again from 2006–2007 Sierra Sierra Enterprises compiled an impressive record of multiple poles, podiums, wins and a 2007 Series Championship. During these years names like Raphael Matos, Moses Smith, James Hinchcliffe, Ryan Dalziel, Andrew Ranger, and Kyle Krisiloff have proudly represented Sierra Sierra and taken their rightful places on the podium.
In 2008, Sierra Sierra ventured out of open-wheel racing and into the time attack world by preparing an "Unlimited" class, 2005 Mitsubishi Evo MR (aptly named Christine, after the possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury in John Carpenter's 1983 movie of the same name). The debut of Christine was in 2009 at a Redline Time Attack at Willow Springs International Raceway.
To establish Sierra Sierra Enterprises as one of the premier time attack teams in the world, representing the United States. Competing and continuously raising the bar for all those seeking a spot on the podium.
Our level of commitment to excellence on the track is only matched by our intense preparation beforehand. And a large part of this preparation involves the marketing and promotion of not only our brand, but yours as well. If you are interested in having your brand represented on one of the world's premier time attack efforts please contact us.
Sierra Sierra Enterprises enjoys a heritage of attracting and developing some of the most talented drivers in open wheel racing - names like Empringham, Matos, Smith, Hinchcliffe Dalziel, Ranger, Krisiloff, Bomarito and more have proudly worn our colors over the years.
